For years the pentacle has been demonized by religious followers.
Religious people will probably look at this and refer to ‘the devil’, or ‘satan’, or evil or even as demonic. Which is ironic because Christianity actually used to use this symbol before certain followers demonized it…
(sighh… *double face palm*)
Well, no. This symbol has been used as a symbol of protection, balance and harmony. The 5 points on the star actually represent Spirit at the top and other points of the star represent the 4 elements – Earth, fire, water and air.

For those who have been brought up in religious background you may have a bit of fear installed in you even looking at this symbol (along the many other occult symbols) but that’s how much we have been hardwired with fear into our subconscious minds.
(that’s how powerful our subconscious minds are. It’s like our mega unlimited cloud storage filled with memories, associations and knowledge we are fed ever since birth – going off topic but the thought I like I got from somewhere was that when we walk, we don’t think we are walking, we are just doing it, cause that’s our subconscious working)
To be fair we can’t blame anyone for not knowing, even I had to unlearn this but education is important and we all gotta help each other by spreading knowledge. We humans can fear the unknown so let’s make things known.
The common theme when looking at certain rituals / magick / witchcraft / occultism (whatever label we want to use) was that symbols don’t perform actions, people do.
Also the common denominator in rituals is that intention is still the power of rituals and the driving engine of magick, whilst also understanding how to draw in energy using astrology / certain planetary alignments and even numerology, some even use colours of their spaces to enter certain ‘trance’ like states, or even use emotions or levels of consciousness, along the use of sigils, symbols, visualisation techniques, meditation techniques, naturals elements of the Earth etc and some worship or work with deities which I do not recommend and various many many other factors.
This is one of those things that I encourage everyone to educate themselves on.
(also I’m not saying go out there and perform witchcraft or magick (difference between magic without the ‘k’) blindly without education as you have to know what you are doing and should be at a certain level of spiritual mastery in order to perform certain rituals)
So the next time you see this symbol, just know that it is not the devil knocking on your back door or speaking over your shoulder. We as Souls are divinely protected and being watched over from the spiritual realm (I’m not saying this gives you excuses to do stupid things and play around with the spiritual realm – don’t be spiritually immature and ignorant) just tap in, know yourself, know you are not this body but you are a infinite Soul and know that everything is spiritual and move with love, and no fear.
