Misconception – Baphomet

This can be quite a lot to take in, and some of you may have ‘a heavy feeling’ even staring at this or watching the videos I’ve linked below – especially due to those brought up in religious backgrounds, as a lot of you may have so much fear installed into your subconscious minds (the subconscious mind holds all of our memories, associations etc since birth).

So who is this goat headed figure with angel wings?

This is labelled as Baphomet. Who actually isn’t a ‘being’ or an entity but a symbol.

(spiritual ignorance has caused everyone to see goat horns or dark black imagery relating to ‘Satan’ or ‘the devil’ – or even associated feelings relating to something evil, or sinister, or demonic)

Well I’m here to tell you, no. This image is neither ‘Satan’ or the devil.

Though symbols (which are basically basic pictures and illustrations…) can get taken out of context over history due to made up fear associated beliefs (due to followers of many beliefs) I’m not denying the fact that sinister entities exist, I’m stating the fact that this is a symbol and not a ‘being’.

The heavy effects of subconscious fear

Envision this… imagine an innocent child with a fresh blank canvas of a mind, is curious about an orange on the table, so she goes to touch the orange, but then a stupid power tripping ignorant adult wants to feed fear into that child by saying ‘uh oh! What are you doing?! Don’t touch oranges, they’re evil! that’s not good!’.

Of course the child is going to fear oranges, anything round and even the colour orange from now on.

Or even if that adult makes up a word, and says ‘uh oh! Don’t read the words ‘chibble chubby chocho’ cause then it will come after you!!”.

Guess what? Now the child will fear those words for life.

Well… That’s the power of the subconscious mind. See this as a daily remind to remove your subconscious fears.

Baphomets symbol meaning

This symbol also labelled as ‘Baphomet’ basically symbolises spiritual enlightenment and balance.

This androgynous goat headed is a symbol for spiritual mastery for enlightenment – often misunderstood throughout history. This symbol represent balance, rebellion, equality, wholeness in spirit and the physical.

  • Goat Head: Represents materiality, earthly principles, and the ‘Goat of Mendes’.
  • Androgynous Body: Features both female breasts and male phallic symbols (caduceus), representing the union of opposites.
  • “As Above, So Below”: One hand points up to the moon, the other down, representing the relationship between the macrocosm (universe) and microcosm (humanity).
  • Torch between Horns: Symbolizes divine intelligence, the light of knowledge, and the ascension of the spirit.
  • Solve and Coagula: Latin for “separate” and “join together,” written on the arms to represent the alchemical process of breaking down and rebuilding.
  • Wings: Represent spirituality and the ascension of the soul.
  • Inverted Pentagram (Sigil of Baphomet): Popularized by the Church of Satan, this symbol places the goat’s head within a star, with the points representing matter over spirit (carnality).

This is not a ‘being’ but a symbol.

(it’s crazy to me how the goat heads with horns got associated over time to do with evil or demonic – even though goats are some of the most friendliest creatures on the planet, check this little dude out I saw on one of my nature walks)

I’ll also just link the video below – Morgue who explains this clearly on a bit of history, behind this symbol of Baphomet.

Egregores

What happens when a collective consciousness create ‘thought forms’ from certain made up beliefs… An egregore is made.

Egregores can be created intentionally by a group of individuals.

An egregore is an autonomous, non-physical, or psychic entity created by the collective thoughts, emotions, and sustained attention of a group of people.

Thoughtforms act as independent, energetic ‘structures’ that can influence their creators, thriving on shared focus, rituals, and beliefs, similar to a group mind. So the more people worship or give thought to a certain identity, that thoughtform ends up being created as non-physical entity.

For example, if everyone was to worship an angry sky dad or ‘the devil’… Guess what? They create egregores.

Here’s also a bit of history on Satanism

Satanism is not evil – though I’m not denying the fact that followers from all beliefs can be evil but we have to always remember to take a step back away from the followers, and check what the belief actually is.

This is just another one of those things everyone should educate themselves on to remove spiritual ignorance and remove subconscious fear from your minds – due to religious followers demonising a lot of things.

Rituals

(I’m simply copying and pasting my text from one of my previous posts on ‘Misconception – Pentagram‘ below)

The common theme when looking at certain rituals / magick / witchcraft / occultism (whatever label we want to use) was that symbols don’t perform actions, people do.

Also the common denominator in rituals is that intention is still the power of rituals and the driving engine of magick, whilst also understanding how to draw in energy using astrology / certain planetary alignments and even numerology, some even use colours of their spaces to enter certain ‘trance’ like states, or even use emotions or levels of consciousness, along the use of sigils, symbols, visualisation techniques, meditation techniques, naturals elements of the Earth etc and some worship or work with deities which I do not recommend and various many many other factors.

For example, intention in waking up every morning and saying affirmations is a ritual

or using your emotions such as anger and rage towards visualising a desired outcome is a ritual

or lighting candles in circle in dim room in the evening and imagining your dream life or desired outcome is a ritual

or using bread to symbolise eating someone’s body, or wine to drink someone’s blood is a ritual

or eating babies, or symbolising cannibalism through things other than the body itself, paedophilia, harvesting emotions from innocent souls (children and sheep) is a ritual.

Intention behind energy (emotions), and even intentions behind symbolism is everything in this world to performing rituals.

Intentions, symbolism and using emotions are the common theme in rituals.

Let’s not mistake dark black imagery or goats for the symbol of evil.

I use the Baphomet symbol as the dark side of me and it reminds me to balance myself. I’m sure a lot of mystics or followers of the occult / witchcraft (whatever label we want to use) would agree too, to remind them to represent balance.

So everyone, every time you see the Baphomet image or goat horns, just know that it is not the devil tickling your foot for your submission of power. You’re good.
